This Privacy Policy explains how the Da Halo application (the “App”) handles information and data when used with compatible rings and screenless bands. The App is provided by MO YOUNG LIMITED (“MO YOUNG,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), Suite 10A, Taihua Wutong Industrial Park, Gushu Development Zone, Hangcheng sub-district, Baoan, Shenzhen 518126, P.R.C.
This Policy also provides information relevant to Regulation (EU) 2023/2854 on harmonised rules on fair access to and use of data (the “EU Data Act”).
No Account or Profile Collection
The App does not require account registration or login. MO YOUNG does not collect account or profile information such as a user’s date of birth, gender, weight, height, or step length. The App does not use Google Firebase.
Locally Stored Product and App Data
Data generated through use of a compatible ring or screenless band, and data handled by the App in connection with that device, are stored locally on the ring, screenless band, and mobile phone. MO YOUNG does not provide cloud storage for this data and does not hold a server-side copy of it.
The frequency at which data is generated depends on the collection frequency selected by the user. Recovery and stress values are calculated by algorithms. Other product data presented by the App are raw data generated by the connected device.
Firmware Updates
The App supports firmware updates for compatible connected devices.
Notifications from Third-Party Apps
The App includes a function that allows notifications from third-party apps to be sent to a compatible connected device. This function operates only when enabled by the user through the available App and device controls.
The App handles locally stored data to provide the functions requested by the user, including communicating with a compatible connected device, presenting device-generated data, calculating Recovery and stress values, supporting firmware updates, and providing enabled notification functions.
Because MO YOUNG does not receive or store this product and App data in a MO YOUNG cloud service, we do not use a server-side copy of that data for advertising, profiling, or training machine-learning models.
The App includes integrations that allow users to share data with Apple Health and Strava. Data is shared through these integrations only when the user chooses to use the relevant integration. The data received by Apple Health or Strava is processed under the terms and privacy policy of the relevant third-party service.
The data made available through an integration depends on the functions supported by the App, the connected device, the selected third-party service, and the settings chosen by the user. MO YOUNG does not operate Apple Health or Strava and does not control how either service processes data after receiving it.
To manage or discontinue an integration, users should use the applicable controls made available by Apple Health, Strava, the mobile operating system, or the App.
Connected Products and Related Service Data
When the App is used with a compatible ring or screenless band, the connected device generates data through its use. The App handles data associated with operation and use of the connected device. The amount and frequency of data generated vary according to the collection frequency and functions selected by the user.
Recovery and stress values are algorithmically calculated results. They are identified separately from raw data generated by the connected device.
Access to Data
Locally stored product and related service data made available by the App can be accessed through the App interface. MO YOUNG does not hold a server-side copy of this data and therefore cannot retrieve or provide a copy from a MO YOUNG server.
The current version of the App does not provide a general-purpose file export function. Available third-party sharing is provided through the Apple Health and Strava integrations described above.
Sharing Data with Third Parties
Users may use the available Apple Health and Strava integrations to share supported data with those services. Data held by Apple Health or Strava is handled by the relevant service, and requests relating to that data should be directed to that service.
Questions and Complaints
Users may contact MO YOUNG at bd@moyoung.com with questions concerning access to or use of product and related service data through the App. Users who consider that their rights under the EU Data Act have been infringed may lodge a complaint with the competent authority in the EU Member State of their habitual residence, place of work, or establishment.
Data stored on the ring, screenless band, or mobile phone remains under the user’s local control through the functions and settings available on those devices and in the App. MO YOUNG cannot access, rectify, export, or delete a server-side copy because MO YOUNG does not hold such a copy.
Where applicable law gives you rights in relation to personal data processed by MO YOUNG, you may contact us at bd@moyoung.com. We may request information reasonably necessary to understand and respond to your request. For data held by Apple Health or Strava, please exercise your rights directly with the relevant service.
Product and App data described in this Policy are stored locally on the compatible ring, screenless band, and mobile phone rather than in a MO YOUNG cloud storage service. Users should protect their connected devices and mobile phones, apply available security and firmware updates, and review the permissions granted to the App and connected third-party services.
Data transferred to Apple Health or Strava is stored and retained according to the practices of the relevant third-party service.
MO YOUNG does not transfer locally stored product and App data to a MO YOUNG cloud storage service. If a user chooses to share data with Apple Health or Strava, the relevant third-party service determines where and how it processes that data under its own terms and privacy policy.
The App is not directed to children under 13, or a different minimum age required by applicable law. MO YOUNG does not knowingly collect account or profile information from children through the App.
We may update this Policy from time to time. Where appropriate, we will provide notice of material changes through the App. The effective date shown at the top of this Policy indicates when this version became effective.
