Shenzhen Moyoung Technology Co., Ltd. (深圳市魔样科技股份有限公司) ("Moyoung," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Lit Pin application and is the controller or personal information processor responsible for the processing described in this Privacy Policy. Lit Pin is available for Android and iOS under the application package or bundle identifier com.moyoung.pin. We value your privacy and process personal information in accordance with applicable data protection laws and app store policies.
This Privacy Policy explains what information Lit Pin processes, why we process it, how we share and protect it, and how you may exercise your rights. Please read this Privacy Policy before using Lit Pin. For sensitive device permissions, including microphone, photo library, and Bluetooth access, we provide a separate purpose notice and request your authorization when you use the relevant feature. Refusing a permission will not affect features that do not depend on that permission.
This Privacy Policy applies to the Lit Pin mobile application and its device connection, media display, voice recording, meeting recording, live interpretation, sleep content, feedback, and related services.
Information processed through the operating system's share sheet, an external website, or a third-party application is subject to that third party's privacy policy. We do not control how a third party selected by you processes information. Please review the relevant terms before sharing information or leaving Lit Pin.
We follow the principles of specified purpose, data minimization, and transparency. We process information only to the extent necessary to provide a particular feature.
When you scan for, connect to, or manage a Lit Pin device, we may process:
The name and identifier of a nearby Bluetooth device, its connection status, device capabilities, battery level, and transfer status; and
Bluetooth scan and connection results, connection failure reasons, and other diagnostic information necessary to operate or troubleshoot the connection.
We use this information to find and connect to the Lit Pin device you select, display device status, transfer content, and diagnose connection problems. The current version does not collect precise or background location for advertising or location profiling.
When you use an image, video, or carousel display feature, we access the photos or videos you select or authorize Lit Pin to access, together with necessary attributes such as the file name, format, size, duration, local path, and thumbnail.
We use this information to preview the content, validate its format and size, and transfer your selected content to a connected Lit Pin device. Unless a feature clearly tells you otherwise, the current version does not upload your selected photos or videos to our cloud servers. When you grant access only to items selected through the system picker, we access only those selected items.
When you actively start an audio recording, voice note, meeting recording, or live interpretation session, we may process:
Audio captured through the microphone, recording files, recording duration, and time information;
Speech transcripts, speaker labels, timestamps, and important-moment markers;
Record titles, translation languages, and translation results specified by you; and
Meeting summaries, answers, and mind maps that you choose to generate.
We process this information to record audio, provide real-time transcription or translation, save and synchronize records, generate summaries, and display results to you. Recording files are stored in the application's directory on your device by default. If an online transcription, translation, summarization, or synchronization feature needs to send audio or text to a server, we will explain the purpose in the interface before the feature is enabled and transmit only the content necessary to provide that feature.
Before recording another person's voice or a meeting, you are responsible for obtaining any legally required authorization from the relevant participants and for avoiding the recording of unnecessary sensitive information.
To let you use cloud record features without registering, Lit Pin generates a random identifier on your device and uses it to create a technical anonymous guest identity. We may process:
A randomly generated guest identifier and a technical email address and password derived through one-way hashing;
A user ID, access token, and session status assigned by the cloud service; and
Voice records, meeting records, and related structured content associated with that guest identity.
This technical identity does not require your real name, phone number, or personal email address. We use it only to authenticate the service session, separate one user's data from another user's data, and synchronize records you choose to save. We use the access token to maintain the session, not for advertising tracking.
When you browse or play sleep content such as white noise or meditation programs, we may process your selected language, content category, content identifier, playback request, and necessary network connection information. We use this information to return content listings, load audio, and provide playback services.
When you voluntarily submit feedback, we process the issue description and contact details you provide to investigate the issue, communicate with you, and improve the product. Do not include passwords, government-issued identification numbers, financial account information, health information, another person's personal information, or other information unrelated to the issue in your feedback.
When Lit Pin accesses an online service, the server ordinarily receives an IP address, request time, API path, response status, network errors, and technical logs necessary to prevent abuse and protect the service. We do not create profiles to sell data, track users across apps, or deliver advertising. The current version does not integrate a third-party advertising SDK or an analytics SDK used for advertising profiles.
Lit Pin may request the following system permissions as you use relevant features. Whether a permission appears, and the name shown for it, may vary by operating system version and device manufacturer.

You may withdraw a device permission in your system settings. After withdrawal, we will stop accessing the corresponding information through that permission. Withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred before you withdrew authorization. Lit Pin may display feature entries relating to the camera, notifications, location, nearby Wi-Fi devices, or display-over-other-apps access. We request such a permission only if the relevant feature is enabled and the permission is necessary, and we explain its purpose before requesting it. We do not collect the corresponding information in the background merely because a permission appears in the interface.
We use information only to:
Provide device discovery, connection, status display, and media transfer features;
Provide recording, transcription, translation, record synchronization, summary, and mind map features;
Provide sleep content browsing and audio playback;
Process feedback, provide customer support, and troubleshoot problems;
Maintain service security, prevent fraud or abuse, and comply with legal obligations; and
Fulfill another specific purpose for which we separately obtain your consent.
If we intend to use information for a new purpose that is not directly or reasonably related to the purposes above, we will explain that purpose separately and obtain renewed consent when required by law.
We do not sell your personal information or share it with third parties for their independent targeted advertising or cross-app tracking. We share or entrust the processing of necessary information only in the circumstances described below.
We use or access the following categories of services to provide Lit Pin. Service providers may process information only as instructed by us and as necessary to provide the relevant service, and they must maintain appropriate confidentiality and security protections.

An open-source component that operates only on your device and does not transmit data to its developer is not treated as a data recipient. Actual processing depends on the app version and features enabled. If we add a third-party SDK or service that collects or shares personal information, we will update this Privacy Policy and the Google Play Data safety declaration before release.
We may disclose relevant information when required by applicable law, legal process, or an administrative or judicial authority, or when reasonably necessary to protect the personal safety, property, or lawful rights of you, Moyoung, or the public. We review the lawfulness of a request and seek to limit disclosure to what is necessary.
If a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or asset transfer occurs, we will require the new information processor to remain subject to this Privacy Policy. If the purpose or manner of processing changes materially, we will provide a separate notice and obtain consent as required by law.
Our services may use servers or service providers located outside your country or region, which means your information may be transferred to and processed in another jurisdiction. When information is transferred across borders, we take measures required by applicable law, such as entering into data protection clauses, completing security assessments or certifications, obtaining separate consent, and requiring recipients to provide protection that meets applicable legal standards. We comply with data localization requirements where they apply.
We retain information only for the shortest period necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. The following retention rules apply:
Local recordings and cache: Retained until you delete them in Lit Pin, clear the cache, or uninstall the application. Copies you export or share separately are not affected by deletion within Lit Pin.
Cloud voice and meeting records: Retained until you delete the relevant record in Lit Pin or ask us to delete the anonymous service identity and its associated data.
Anonymous service identity and session information: Retained until you request deletion, or deleted or anonymized under our cleanup rules after 24 consecutive months without service activity.
Feedback: Retained until six months after the issue is resolved, and for no longer than 24 months in total, unless a longer period is required by law or necessary to resolve a dispute.
Security and access logs: Ordinarily retained for no longer than 180 days. If required for a security investigation, dispute resolution, or legal obligation, they are retained only for the additional period necessary.
You may delete an individual voice or meeting record within Lit Pin. To delete your anonymous service identity and all associated cloud data, email support@moyoung.com with the subject line "Lit Pin Data Deletion Request" and include the minimum information necessary for us to locate the anonymous identity. We will complete necessary verification and ordinarily complete the request, or inform you of its status, within 15 business days. Copies temporarily retained for disaster recovery will be isolated and deleted during the backup rotation cycle, ordinarily within 90 days, unless continued retention is required by law.
Uninstalling Lit Pin removes its local application data, but it may not automatically delete synchronized cloud records or the anonymous service identity. To delete those items as well, contact us using the method above.
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:
Inquire about, access, or obtain a copy of personal information we process about you;
Correct or supplement inaccurate or incomplete information;
Delete personal information or request deletion of the anonymous service identity;
Withdraw consent or turn off a device permission in system settings;
Restrict or object to certain processing and, where applicable, request data portability;
Cancel or terminate the cloud-based anonymous service identity;
Request an explanation of our processing rules; and
Submit a complaint to a competent data protection or regulatory authority.
You may submit a request to support@moyoung.com. To protect your information, we may ask for information necessary to verify your identity or associate your request with the relevant device identity. After verification, we will respond within the period required by applicable law. If we cannot fulfill a request for a lawful reason, we will explain the reason and identify any available remedy.
Lit Pin is intended for a general audience and is not directed specifically to children. A user who has not reached the age of majority in their jurisdiction should use Lit Pin only with the guidance and consent of a parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly collect children's personal information for advertising profiles.
If a parent or guardian believes that a child provided personal information to us without appropriate consent, please contact us at support@moyoung.com. After verification, we will promptly delete the information or take another appropriate action as required by law.
We use technical and organizational measures appropriate to the relevant risks, including access controls, authentication, encryption in transit, permission minimization, log redaction, personnel confidentiality procedures, and security incident response. No internet transmission or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. If a security incident is likely to affect your rights or interests, we will take remedial measures and, as required by law, notify you through an in-app notice, email, or another appropriate method. The notice will describe the incident, its possible effects, and recommended protective steps.
Do not disclose access credentials to another person or retain sensitive records on a public or untrusted device. Contact us promptly if you identify unusual activity.
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to features, service providers, laws, or policies. For a material change, we will notify you through a prominent in-app notice, pop-up, or another appropriate method and obtain renewed consent when required by law. The updated policy will state its new Last Updated and Effective dates. We will not reduce the rights available to you under an earlier version without your consent.
