Mio Flow Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Shenzhen Zhiwei Xinlian Technology Co., Ltd. (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the Mio Flow mobile application (“Mio Flow” or the “App”).

1. Scope

Mio Flow is a companion app for compatible Bluetooth wearable devices, including supported smart rings and smart bands. The App is designed for general wellness and lifestyle use.

2. Information handled by the App

Mio Flow may handle the following information to provide its features:

• Device connection information. Bluetooth-related information needed to discover, pair, connect to, and synchronize a compatible wearable device.
• Activity and sleep information. Activity, sleep, and workout information recorded by a connected compatible wearable device.
• Route information. Location information used only during an active outdoor activity when you choose to record a route.
• Apple Health information. Supported activity and wellness data that you choose to synchronize with Apple Health after granting authorization.
• Firmware update information. The device identifier and current firmware version when you choose to check for or download a firmware update.
• Support communications. Information you voluntarily provide when contacting us for support, such as your name, email address, and the content of your request.

3. How information is used

We use information only to provide and support the App, including pairing and synchronizing a compatible device, displaying recorded information, recording an outdoor route when enabled, providing optional Apple Health synchronization, delivering firmware updates, and responding to support requests.

4. Local storage and firmware updates

Activity, sleep, and route information is stored locally on your device and is not uploaded to our servers. When you choose to check for or download a firmware update, the device identifier and current firmware version are transmitted to the firmware update service solely to identify an available update and deliver it to your device.

5. Apple Health

Apple Health synchronization is optional. Mio Flow accesses or writes supported Apple Health data only after you grant the relevant permissions. You can change or revoke Apple Health permissions at any time in the Apple Health app or in your device settings.

6. Permissions

• Bluetooth: to discover, pair, connect to, and synchronize with a compatible wearable device.
• Location: to record your GPS route only during an active outdoor activity when route recording is enabled.
• Apple Health: to provide optional synchronization of supported activity and wellness data after your authorization.

7. Sharing and third-party services

Mio Flow does not use third-party advertising, analytics, authentication, payment, artificial intelligence, or Strava services. The App uses Apple Health only when you authorize it, Core Location for an active outdoor route, and a firmware update service when you choose to use firmware update functions. We do not sell activity, sleep, or route information.

8. Data retention and deletion

Locally stored App data remains on your device until you delete it through the App, remove the App, or reset your device. Firmware update information is processed only as needed to provide the update function. You may contact us to request assistance with privacy questions or requests.

9. Children

Mio Flow is not directed to children under the age required by applicable law to provide consent for data processing. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Security

We use reasonable measures designed to protect information handled by the App. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the App or our data practices change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
