Pebble Vox Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how SRK Powertech Private Limited manages personal information when you use Pebble Vox and the devices and services connected to it (collectively, “Pebble Vox” or the “Service”).
General Wellness Notice
Pebble Vox services are provided as an auxiliary reference for exercise and understanding your own condition and are not for medical purposes. If you experience discomfort, consult a doctor. Pebble Vox information is for general reference and may not be suitable for every user. Although a Pebble Vox device may monitor or display information such as heart rate, blood pressure, blood oxygen, sleep quality, athletic ability, or voice commands, it must not be used for any medical purpose. Consult a doctor before beginning an exercise or diet plan.
Pebble Vox and compatible devices are not medical devices and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition.
Information We Collect
Profile Data You Enter
You may enter information such as your birthday, height, weight, and gender to improve exercise and health calculations. This information is stored locally on your device. If you do not provide it, default values may be used and results may be less accurate.
Data Recorded by a Connected Device
When you synchronize a connected device, Pebble Vox records information such as activity data, including steps and calories; sleep data, including sleep length and sleep quality; recent and average heart-rate data; body weight; pace; and exercise time. This information is stored locally in the app cache on your phone and is not backed up to a personal cloud account.
Other Data Processed by the Service
- Behaviour-labelling information: where you choose to label behaviours, activity and heart-rate information is processed locally to provide that function.
- Firmware and font update files: when you choose to update a connected device, required device or font files may be downloaded to your phone to complete the update.
- Incoming-call and SMS status: if a supported reminder feature is enabled, this information is processed locally to trigger device vibration and is not stored by Pebble Vox.
- Mobile-device information: operating-system version, phone brand and model, hardware identifiers such as IDFA, IMEI, IMSI, UUID, or MAC address, and system time may be processed to support pairing, push notifications, and troubleshooting.
- Network information: network type and signal information may be processed for functions such as app-update checks or voice commands requiring connectivity.
- Installed-app information: where you choose to synchronize data with a third-party health app, your installed-app list may be accessed with permission solely to enable that direct synchronization.
- Location information: location may be used for location-based features, including local weather, Bluetooth scanning where required, and GPS workout-route recording. Workout-route location data is stored locally with the relevant workout record.
- Connected-device information: a device identifier, firmware version, approximate geographic location as non-personal data, and related non-personal feature-usage statistics may be transmitted to Pebble Vox servers when a device connects, updates, or is reset.
- Goals and optional logs: exercise goals, weight targets, heart-rate reminders, female-health entries, weight, sleep, water-intake logs, and reminders may be stored locally when you choose to use those features.
- Phone sensor information: when you enable indoor motion mode, your phone’s built-in sensors may be used to record and display exercise results locally.
Camera Information
Pebble Vox may include a gesture-controlled camera function. If you enable it, the app accesses the camera feed to detect a hand gesture in the live preview and capture a photo. Gesture detection is processed locally. Photos are saved locally to your phone’s gallery or the app’s local cache and are not transmitted to Pebble Vox servers unless you separately choose to share, back up, or synchronize a photo yourself.
Voice and Audio Data
When you use voice-enabled functions such as voice commands or voice notes, Pebble Vox may process voice recordings, speech converted to text, and related metadata such as time, duration, device state, and the resulting command or action. Voice data may be transmitted to trusted third-party speech-recognition or AI service providers for temporary cloud processing. Voice recordings are treated as sensitive personal data. Microphone access requires your explicit consent and may be withdrawn in device or app settings.
How We Use Information
- To calculate and display BMI, steps, exercise routes, calorie consumption, heart-rate data, sleep data, and weight data in the app.
- To display data recorded by a synchronized device and provide sports-related functions.
- To provide location-based functions, including workout-route recording, local weather, and supported Bluetooth scanning and connection.
- To synchronize data with a third-party app selected by you, only with your express authorization.
- To support alarm-clock reminders, cycle predictions and reminders, sleep-stage distribution and sleep-quality display, and other optional features you choose to use.
- To process gesture-controlled camera functions locally on the device and to check for app updates.
- To recognize voice commands, convert speech into text or actions, and, where you have not opted out, use anonymized voice-data samples not linked to a personal profile to improve speech-recognition accuracy.
- To analyze aggregated, de-identified usage statistics, provide and maintain the Service, resolve technical issues, and provide customer support.
How We Share Information
Except in the limited circumstances below, Pebble Vox does not share personal information.
- External processing: certain information, such as voice recordings for processing or diagnostic and analytics information, may be processed by affiliated companies, service providers, and partners under confidentiality and security safeguards.
- Voice and AI processing: voice recordings and derived text may be shared with speech-recognition and AI service providers strictly to deliver voice functions.
- Third-party synchronization: where you choose to synchronize locally stored data with a third-party app, relevant data is shared only with your express authorization. The third party’s own privacy policy applies to its processing.
- Legal and safety reasons: information may be retained or disclosed to comply with law, legal process, government requirements, legal claims, or to prevent, detect, or investigate illegal activity, fraud, abuse, security threats, or threats to safety.
- Business transfers: if Pebble Vox is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, affected users will be notified before personal information is transferred to a new entity.
Pebble Vox may publish or share non-personal, aggregated, or de-identified information that cannot reasonably identify an individual.
Your Rights and Controls
Because most data is stored locally, you can view and edit much of it directly in Pebble Vox, including profile data and available exercise, sleep, heart-rate, and voice-interaction history.
- Use relevant in-app options to clear available data, such as voice history or exercise history.
- Clear app storage or uninstall the app to permanently delete locally stored app data.
- Unpair a device to remove paired-device information from the app.
- Grant or withdraw permissions, including location, contacts, camera, microphone, storage, phone, SMS, pedometer, battery optimization, and notification access, in app or device settings. Withdrawing permission stops future collection for that category but does not affect data already processed.
Some features, including speech recognition and exercise or health calculations, use automated processing without human review. Pebble Vox may be unable to fulfill a request where doing so conflicts with applicable law, a legal obligation, lawful government or court requests, fraud or abuse investigations, or the safe and stable operation of the Service.
Data Retention and International Transfers
Locally stored profile data, exercise and health history, settings, and most app data remain on your device only while the app and that data remain intact. They are permanently deleted when you clear app storage, uninstall the app, or reset the device.
Voice recordings sent for speech-to-text processing are retained only as long as necessary to fulfill your request and are automatically deleted within 30 days, unless you separately opt in to contribute anonymized samples for speech-recognition improvement. Device identifiers, diagnostic logs, and aggregated analytics information are retained only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy or as required by law, and are then deleted or anonymized.
Information held by Pebble Vox is stored on secure servers located in India and/or with cloud service providers in accordance with applicable Indian law. Where a provider’s infrastructure is outside India, Pebble Vox takes steps intended to provide an appropriate level of protection.
Information Security
Pebble Vox uses reasonable technical, managerial, and physical safeguards to protect information transmitted to or held by it, including transport-layer encryption for many services. No transmission or storage method is completely secure. Pebble Vox is not responsible for loss or disclosure caused by factors outside its reasonable control, including cyberattacks, natural disasters, clearing app storage, uninstalling the app, or resetting a device.
Third-Party Services
Pebble Vox may include or link to third-party products and services, including analytics, map and location services, push-notification services, security services, and speech-recognition or AI services. Using these services may result in the third party collecting information under its own privacy policy.
Changes to This Policy
Pebble Vox may update this Privacy Policy. If significant changes are made, Pebble Vox may notify users through the app, such as by an in-app notice or required acknowledgement on next launch. Please review this page periodically for the latest privacy practices.
